I'm finally back from my trip to Japan, and everything was absolutely PERFECT. The people, the atmosphere, my surroundings. Just perfect. But before I go into any further details, I HAVE to do this very late live report on THE DECADE. :'D
I had been eating breakfast early Saturday morning, still unaware of the fact that I would be standing in front of my men in a couple of hours. Of course, it didn't hit me until later on in the day, which I'll get to very soon. My boyfriend and I headed out to the station, taking the Yamanato line to Tokyo station and then heading to Chiba after that. At first, I was afraid I'd surely get lost but everything turned out fine! And the trains became something I could adjust to easily and my boyfriend felt the same. xD We took the long train to Makuhari, **EDIT: but as soon as I got on the train, I noticed many gazettE fans staring at me and then followed by smiles o.o; i dunno bu thought it point that out. a really cute girl kept smiling at me with her ruki inspired hair ;A; she was soo cute** which was about an hour in total, and his parents accompanied us and we separated at the station. I feel so stupid for this, but we actually got lost inside Makuhari, and it was so cold and rainy at first, which is why we ran into Starbucks to warm up with hot chocolate and then we headed back out. After walking for about another half an hour, we finally reached Makuhari Messe, which was crowded beyond belief. It wasn't even noon yet and the line was so horrible. ;A; So we waited for a couple of hours, in the rain with our umbrellas, fingers numb and all, and my feet were wet at one point. Of course I didn't mind, I was too infatuated with the Japanese fans.
I don't know, but.. they were so perfect. ;_; Everyone.. I mean absolutely everyone was dressed up nicely. Many were cosplayers, some were wearing sex pot or even heels. Their hair and makeup definitely looked like it might have taken hours to make. Ugh, they were all beautiful, i felt at home. After a while the rain had stopped, but it was still cold as fuck. Chris and I were able to put our umbrellas away when we reached downstairs, which was still a long line to buy goods. It just took so long.. but I finally did and I tried to get my hands on Be@r Brick before it sold out, and I bought 2 (one for Karen) two posters (both types) and the Decade bag. After all that, my boyfriend and I set our stuff in a plastic bag which we had to purchase and we were given a number in order for the staff to keep it during the live. Taking of my jacket was miserable, btw LOL it was too cold to comprehend. We got out tickets and waited, etc etc.
Now for the best part ;A;.. The fanclub members were separated from everyone else, and we were all in line when they started calling out numbers and they let us run in and choose our desired spot. It was pretty easy for me since I'm so biased, so Chris and I stood on Aoi's side, closer to the edge therefore we had a full view of the stage. There was only a row in front of us, which was better because I'm pretty sure if we were to have squeezed towards the rail, the crowd would have pushed us forward and that sounds painful. We waited for a good hour, which felt like NOTHING, and soon the hall was crowded. This group of foreign girls tried pushing their way to the front -___- which pissed me off and I elbowed one of them back because they were pushing me against one of the Japanese fans and I definitely didn't want to hurt her or anyone else infront of me. Stupid, stupid people. They would talk while Ruki did too! Anyway, I don't remember much except fog, music, and as soon as I look up I'm reading the words on the screen and shadows are walking on stage as pictures from the last ten years appear on the stage, each representing a single member. Screams were heard when they slowly made their presence, and finally, Ruki came up on stage and Miseinen began to play.
Out of every song I could think of, I did not expect Miseinen to be played first. But it was the perfect choice to start off the Decade ;__; I began to bawl, seriously. I was crying yet jumping around, singing along to the lyrics and stringy coffetti is shot at the crowd when the song starts. At this point, I'm pressed up against other fans due to the crowd pushing forward due to excitement. xD
Akai One Piece was next, which we all happily danced along and headbanged. My attention was focused on Uruha when he came forward, and my hands were stuck up in the air so I managed to point at Aoi a couple of times, which he saw and then he'd shake his head and point at Ruki. ;A; I couldn't believe he actually saw me LOL
Haru ni Chirikeri definitely pumped the crowd up and I don't remember much because I was jumping and dancing and before I knew it zetsu was up next, and we all sang along followed by more headbanging and BARA BARA BARA XD Psychedelic Heroine and Swallowtail Valley followed after that, and luckily Ganges ni Akai Bara came after that because I was exhausted at this point and was in need of slower songs. The crowd was quiet during Kare Uta and Sumire, and I cried. I cried so much that my eyelashes began peeling LOL
It was quiet for a moment after Ruki had finished speaking and all, and everyone looked at eachother when he grabbed a hold of a guitar (which was completely different from the one originally used to play Cassis) and Aoi began to play his acoustic and I grew excited over Cassis. We sang along, I know for a fact I did to every word lmao. And at one point, Ruki looked over my direction and noticed my singing and signaled me to raise my voice, which I did but I couldn't hear myself. LOL It was such a beautiful song played live! Aoi's solo at the end was all dramatic too lmfao
After the ballads, The $ocial Riot Machine$ followed, and I helped two girls over the rails so they could headbang and i did as well, luckily without hitting anyone because we were all in sync. Ruder and Vermin followed after that and the crowd went wild, I know for a fact I did. We jumped around and I ended up headbutting the girl in front of me, but its okay because there was hair flipping everywhere, especially when Vortex came on next. There was fist pumping and chanting of COUNTLESS BUG throughout the crowd, and Uruha's solo was incredible. 8D Headache man was fun as well, and I could hear the crowd and myself singing along, We are the cause of your headache~
It was surprising to hear In the Middle of Chaos, and i couldn't help but to sing along to LETS DELIVER NONFICTIONNN~~ 8D But Filth in the Beauty seriously wore me out. The crowd pushed further when this song came on, and I had enough room to headbang because the fans infront of me went over the rails.
The GazettE made their exit and I was relieved for a bit because I seriously needed to breathe, and the crowd chanted for the encore but it was seriously the most dragged on encore ever LOL everyone sounded exhausted. I completely forgot about how tired and thirsty I was when Kai and Reita came on stage, then it was time for Ride With the Rockers. I kept my hands up for the most part, trying to keep up with everyone else but it was over so soon, or at least it felt like it. Before I knew it, the band had their backs turned towards us and I knew they'd play Nausea and Shudder. I followed the rhythm with my hands and sang along, headbanging forward everytime Ruki yelled LOOP.
Juuyonsai no knife made me so happy though. Never ever would I have thought they'd play older songs in their recent lives, and sure enough more older songs followed after that. At one point during the song I began wiggling my fingers and Ruki did it right back. <3 A couple of other fans and myself managed to howl during Doro darake no seishun which was unexpected because I do it out of habit LOL D; but it made me feel closer to all of them. I kept my eyes fixed on Aoi during Anata no Tame no Kono Inochi because I know he loves to be cute during the song, which he was *o* Ruki talked a bit more, and as soon as he yelled KANTOUUUU i tried to drop to my knees but I couldnt LOL Bodies were squeezed against me so i merely jumped around and danced from side to side, headbanging and throwing my arms in the air. It was SUCH A FUN SONG OMG I had such a good time. Ruki walked towards the opposite side and spat water followed by fanservice xD I tried letting Ruki know we were hot too by fanning my boyfriends face, which Ruki saw but the song as over by then.~ANOTHER EDIT: xD I totally forgot about Linda Candydive Pinky Heaven. But the song came on and i gathered all of my strength to clap along with Aoi, which I watched carefully and then we all began jumping and throwing our hands in the air. I don't remember much on what happened on stage except leaning back along with the crowd and headbanging forward, and Ruki's cute dancing and simply just trying to clap along. :D
The second encore was somewhat more quieter, and I managed to squeeze between to girls just to lean over the rails because I felt so dehydrated. My hair was wet and my curls had definitely lost it's shape. I felt dead, tbh but I clapped when the band came back and Ruki went on with a small speech.
Then I completely lost it when Wakaremichi came on, i cried of happiness because never in a million years would I have thought that I'd hear this song live. ;__; I feel so grateful. The crowd and I sang along, one of my hands up in the air, following Ruki's voice. And then Ruki stood quiet and we all sang about three verses, and he had a hand over his mouth as if he were about to cry. It was so emotional, my favorite song from the concert lol :c A lot of people were in tears, and then Ruki screamed for one more song and Shunsetsu no Koro came on. I jumped around screaming along with other people, DAY OF BLUE GRADUATION! and then small confetti like squares shot into the air and fell on the audience. The confetti went on for the rest of the song, and I had been eating it because I was singing along but I didn't care LOL Looking ahead to the stage though, it looked more like petals or a snowstorm, but it was BEAUTIFUL and everyone in the front was covered with it as well as the floor, which went up to about 3 inches.
During the last MC, each member gave a small speech thanking the fans, etc. (screw my japanese) and Aoi and Reita ended up playing rock paper scissors to see who'd go next in delivering their speech. Reita lost and Aoi definitely took a while with his speech. He rambled on, as usual, and even caught himself extending the speech LOL xD Reita went next although Aoi was trying to distract the fans while he talked, and afterwards they thanked us and Ruki yelled THANK YOUUUU and we all held hands and he made us crouch down in order to leap high. xD I was holding three people's hands LOL my boyfriend and two other cute girls. Afterwards, we all clapped and they proceeded to throw drumsticks and towels, etc, and then announcements followed on the big screen.
It was such an amazing live. And so exhausting. <3 After this I'm most definitely looking forward to plenty more, and hopefully with as much luck to be at the very front. xD I love you, The GazettE!~ And Happy 10 years of being together. May the future bring nothing but pure success and happiness.
